Tucked away in the Ramapo Mountains of New York State, a stone’s throw from the iconic Catskills and the winding Hudson River, sits the humble abode of Katz. Behind this cozy house lies a little “kill” (that’s old Dutch for creek—no need to call the authorities).

On a good summer day, especially after a rainstorm, you can hear the gentle trickle or the bold rush of water making its way through the storm drains, serenading us in our workshop. And that, dear friends, is how KatzKill Woodworks got its name. It’s a tribute to our roots, where nature’s soundtrack provides the rhythm to our craft.
